X1 and X2 capacitors refer to those used in situations where the failure of the capacitor will not cause electric shock or endanger personal safety It includes X capacitors and Y capacitors. The x capacitor is a capacitor that spans between two lines (L-N) of a power line and is generally selected as a metal thin film capacitor; Y capacitors are capacitors that are connected in pairs between two power lines and ground (L-E, N-E). Based on the limitation of leakage current, the value of Y capacitance cannot be too large. Generally, X capacitance is of uF level, and Y capacitance is of nF level. X capacitor suppresses differential mode interference and Y capacitor suppresses common mode interference.
